What Agency Is the Best at Google Ads for Personal Injury Attorneys?

Picking a Google Ads agency for personal injury attorneys starts with knowing who actually builds campaigns for law firms. Mistakes cost more in legal than in almost any other industry. In LocaliQ’s 2026 search advertising benchmarks, attorneys and legal services rank as the most expensive category for both clicks and leads. At Legal Leads Group, we believe in blended campaigns. In fact, we love to run multichannel marketing for our personal injury lawyers. Because LLG only focuses on running campaigns for law firms, we rarely show up on the generic agency lists built for e-commerce brands. However, we do rank amongst the top marketing firms for campaigns built for lawyers.

Today’s blog post tackles the question, “What agency is the best at Google Ads for personal injury attorneys?” At Legal Leads Group, our clients tell us that we are the best. That’s because we go above and beyond to monetize our clients’ personal injury lawyer Google Ads campaigns by combining them with live intakes. And yes, even though we believe we’re the “top dawg” at paid ads for injury law firms, we are still going to identify a few other agencies we believe also provide ethical and effective campaigns.

So, sit back, grab a pen, and take notes. We’re going to answer the question of which agencies are the best at running paid ads for personal injury law firms and why you may want to partner with a specific marketing company.

Legal Leads Group builds, manages, and monetizes Google Ads campaigns for injury firms nationwide. Our intake team can also answer the calls those campaigns produce. The ranking below judges each Google Ads agency for personal injury attorneys on what happens after the click. We looked at who answers the phone and who owns the account. We also checked contract terms and whether the agency works for your competitors.

The Top 5 Google Ads Partners for Personal Injury Attorney Ad Campaigns

The Top 5 Google Ads Partners for Personal Injury Attorney Ad Campaigns

We’re going to go in order from number 5 to number 1. Yes, it’s obvious we’re marking ourselves down for the “numero uno” slot. But no, transparently, it doesn’t mean we are the “golden ticket” agency that you need to turn to. In fact, we’re going to explain why each agency may be the right fit for you, and why it may not be. Just as attorneys are required to hold themselves to a higher ethical standard and are barred from claiming to be the “best personal injury attorney” over another, we follow suit. We believe Legal Leads Group is the best option for specific injury law firms that desire a specific service.

So, happy hunting (we love the movie Ready Player One here) as you move through today’s article. Let’s answer the question of who is the best law firm marketing company to run Google Ads for personal injury attorneys and, most of all, why.

The ethics point above deserves more detail. The comments to ABA Model Rule 7.1 address unsubstantiated comparisons between lawyers’ services. They say such a comparison may mislead when it sounds specific enough that a reasonable person would expect proof behind it. State bars enforce their own versions of that rule. Marketing agencies do not answer to a state bar, but the same standard keeps a list like this one honest. Every strength and weakness below starts from an agency’s own pages, an independent review, or what attorneys have told us directly. The conclusions we draw from them are our own.

How We Ranked Each Google Ads Agency for Personal Injury Attorneys

Tech Funding News ranked agencies for ecommerce brands, and ecommerce math does not carry over to injury law. An online store sees the sale minutes after the click, with the order value attached. An injury firm may not sign the case for days, the signature happens offline in its intake system, and the case value stays unknown for months. Clicks and leads also cost more in legal marketing. LocaliQ’s 2026 search advertising benchmarks, which blend Google and Microsoft campaigns, rank attorneys and legal services highest of any industry measured for both. The averages for legal came to $131.63 per lead and $9.87 per click.

Plenty of agencies can launch a campaign. The real differences appear when an injured caller phones after 9 p.m. or when your firm decides to leave. We weighed each agency against five standards. Hold every agency you interview to the same five before you sign anything. If an agency hesitates on any of them, treat the hesitation as an answer.

  • The agency tells you whether a trained person, an AI assistant, or your own staff answers the calls its ads produce.
  • You get market exclusivity, or the lack of it, in writing.
  • The contract spells out the term, the notice period, and what you owe if you leave.
  • Your firm keeps the website, the domain, and the Google Ads account when the relationship ends.
  • Reporting follows each lead to a signed retainer instead of stopping at clicks and calls.

Those five standards, plus our judgment about fit, shaped the order below. An agency can write sharp ads and still miss the calls those ads produce. It can also keep your data on a platform you cannot take with you. We did not grade on price. Of the four competitors, only Juris Digital publishes a pay-per-click (PPC) management fee on the pages we reviewed. Total cost for any agency depends on your market and scope. Number Five, Scorpion

Scorpion is one of the best-known agencies in law firm marketing. Rustin Kretz founded the company in 2001, and it now serves home services, healthcare, and franchise businesses alongside law firms. For attorneys, Scorpion sells websites, SEO, and paid ads as a suite it calls RevenueMAX, which also includes its AI tools. The company has grown through acquisitions, including the 2024 purchase of Get Noticed Get Found, an agency that served law firms. Investment firm Bregal Sagemount put $100 million into Scorpion in 2021.

Why Choose Scorpion to Run Your Paid Ads?

Choose Scorpion if you want one technology platform to run every channel and move your budget for you. Scorpion says its Advertising AI shifts budget toward the channels driving results. The AI covers paid search, social media, and listings. Scorpion also connects to case management software, so the system can track which leads become retained cases. The company says it is Clio’s only preferred marketing services partner, which matters if your firm already uses Clio.

Scorpion describes itself as Google’s largest Local Services Ads partner, and it now sells ChatGPT ads through the same platform. Its Scorpion Convert product uses an AI voice and messaging assistant to answer the calls and messages your team misses. That setup fits a three-office injury firm that wants Google Ads, Local Services Ads, and website reporting in one dashboard.

Why Scorpion May Not Be the Right Fit for Your Law Firm

To the best of our knowledge, and from what lots of law firms have told us, Scorpion does not have a non-compete clause. That means they will work with more than one personal injury law firm in a market. They also appear to have a proprietary CMS, and most attorneys we’ve spoken with over the last 10 years say that they never get ownership access to their website and Google Ads campaigns.

Lawyerist’s February 2025 review of Scorpion supports most of that. It says the company does not offer exclusivity. It also says Scorpion builds law firm websites on proprietary software, which makes it hard to change providers. A content management system, or CMS, is the software that runs your website. A proprietary one keeps your site inside the agency’s system instead of on a portable platform like WordPress. The review’s feature table also answers “No” to “Will You Own Your Website?” The review does not cover Google Ads account ownership, and contracts can differ, so get your answers in writing.

Scorpion Convert, the assistant described above, also qualifies callers when your team does not pick up. Some firms like that setup. Others want a trained person to answer when a badly hurt caller cannot reach the firm, and that choice should be yours.

Number Four, Rankings.io

Chris Dreyer founded Rankings.io in 2013, and the agency narrowed its focus to personal injury firms in 2018. It now serves other high-value practice areas, but injury work remains its core. Dreyer hosts the Personal Injury Mastermind podcast, and the agency runs PIMCON, a yearly conference for injury firm owners. It describes itself as founder-led, with no private equity owner, and it says 95% of its work happens in-house.

Why Turn to Rankings.io?

Rankings.io fits a firm that wants an injury-focused team to run search, ads, and the website with no long-term contract. Its FAQ describes month-to-month terms and says your firm owns every asset the agency produces, including the domain, the content, and the CRM data. The FAQ adds that each client gets a dedicated account manager, monthly performance reviews, and quarterly business reviews. Its website builds run on WordPress, which keeps your site portable if you ever leave.

The agency’s FAQ says its paid channels, such as Local Services Ads, pay-per-click search, and paid social, often move inside 30 to 60 days. For a firm that needs calls this quarter, the paid work can produce leads while the SEO builds.

Why Rankings.io Might Not Be the Best Option

Many injury firms want market exclusivity, and Rankings.io’s FAQ says the agency does not offer geographic exclusivity. Instead, it audits a market before it signs a firm. At its top tier, which it calls Apex, a client can name specific competitors the agency agrees not to take on. That protects you from a short list of rivals, not from every firm in your county.

The agency’s own comparison table says every engagement includes SEO and AI visibility. Its FAQ tells firms to expect early movement in 90 days and a typical lead lift in six to nine months. The package suits a firm that wants rankings. A firm that wants only a paid search team should ask what the bundle costs.

Arizona firms should also read the agency’s ownership disclosure. Rankings.io states that Dreyer holds an approved non-attorney ownership interest in Law Bear. Law Bear is an Arizona personal injury firm operating under the state’s Alternative Business Structure program. The agency says Law Bear will not compete for clients in any market where a Rankings.io client operates. It also says the two companies operate separately and that it discloses the interest in writing before onboarding any Arizona injury firm.

Number Three, LawRank

LawRank has built search campaigns for law firms since 2013. Co-founder Mariano Rodriguez, a UCLA School of Law graduate, is the agency’s SEO expert. Co-founder and president Maria Monroy hosts the Tip the Scales podcast. The agency works only with attorneys, from offices in San Diego and New York, and it sells SEO, PPC management, and web design. It says attorneys or law school graduates write or develop all of its legal content.

When to Turn to LawRank for Your Paid Marketing

LawRank makes sense when you want one attorney-only agency to handle SEO and Google Ads. The agency is a certified Google Partner, and its PPC page advertises short-term contracts. Its PPC package includes CallRail call tracking, a real-time AgencyAnalytics dashboard, and an A/B-tested landing page. LawRank also offers unlimited campaigns and manages Local Services Ads.

LawRank says most firms see meaningful improvement in cost per lead within the first 90 days. Its WordPress builds belong to the client. LawRank also says it has run campaigns in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Chicago.

LawRank’s Potential Weak Points With Ads

LawRank began with a focus on organic search. Its About page says the founders started the company with one goal, getting attorneys onto Google’s first page. The PPC work is real. If paid search will be your main source of cases, ask who runs it and how many injury accounts that person manages.

LawRank’s PPC page recommends that your team be ready to answer calls as they come in. It also warns that a caller who reaches voicemail has likely moved on to the next firm in the results. That is good advice, and it suggests the phones stay your firm’s job. None of the LawRank pages we reviewed mentions an answering service, so ask about it.

LawRank says it reports spend, leads, and cost per acquisition. Ask whether an acquisition means a lead or a signed retainer. On an injury campaign, the cost of a lead and the cost of a signed case are very different numbers.

Number Two, Juris Digital

Casey Meraz founded the company in 2011 as Ethical SEO Consulting, and it later rebranded as Juris Digital to focus only on legal clients. The agency serves firms in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. In 2026, it acquired JurisPage, which it now offers as a foundation package for solo and small firms. According to its company profile, it builds websites on WordPress and has attorneys review its legal content.

How Juris Digital Could Be Your Best Bet for Ads

Juris Digital suits a firm that judges its agency by signed cases. Its FAQ says the agency measures success the same way, and its company profile names cost per signed case as a primary outcome metric. The agency says it connects ad data to case management tools such as Clio, Filevine, and Litify. A firm on Filevine may be able to trace each signed file back to the Google Ads click that produced it.

Juris Digital also publishes its PPC management fee, 20% of ad spend plus a setup fee. Its PPC page says the agency offers that service without a long-term contract. Each client works with a dedicated marketing executive, and the agency says it caps each executive at 8 to 10 law firm clients.

Juris Digital’s paid services cover Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Meta. It also tests newer channels like ChatGPT ads and even sells Apple Maps advertising. For intake, it offers secret shopping, where someone contacts your firm the way a prospect would and reports how your team handled the inquiry.

When Juris Digital May Not Be the Correct Option

Juris Digital describes its JurisOS method as a sequence. Paid media is the fourth of its five pillars, after discovery, the technical and local groundwork, and content. That order suits long-term growth. The agency does take over existing Google Ads accounts. A firm that needs car accident calls next month should still ask how fast paid search can launch on its own.

Read the contract terms closely. Unless a client’s agreement says otherwise, Juris Digital’s published terms describe monthly agreements that renew automatically. To cancel, you must give written notice 30 days before the start of a month. The terms also say payments for Google Ads and Local Services Ads management are nonrefundable. Mark your notice date the day the contract starts.

Juris Digital measures intake and helps define who responds, but its pages describe guiding your staff rather than answering calls for you. If nobody at your firm picks up after hours, the reports will show the gap without closing it.

Number One, Legal Leads Group

Legal Leads Group has generated case leads for law firms for nearly two decades. We keep our Google Ads strategists, SEO developers, and intake teams in-house. We are a certified Google Partner and hold partner status with Meta and Microsoft. Firms can choose a month-to-month plan or a pay-per-case model. Every ROI-driven campaign we run is eligible for market exclusivity, which can stop us from running the same campaign for a competitor in your market. We also run bilingual SEO and social media, which helps firms that sign Spanish-speaking clients.

How Is Legal Leads Group the Leader in Google Ads for Personal Injury Lawyers?

We rank ourselves first because our work does not have to stop at a phone number on a lead sheet. Several agencies above track signed cases. Firms that add our live intake team also get the people who sign those cases, and we feed each signed case back into Google Ads. Our paid search, SEO, and traditional media teams plan together, so the blended campaigns we mentioned earlier share one set of numbers. Pairing ads with intake is what we think separates a Google Ads agency for personal injury attorneys from a media buyer.

Live Intake That Answers Ad Calls Day and Night

Our live intake agents take calls and form fills at any hour, in English or Spanish, from teams in California and Texas. They qualify or disqualify each caller, then sign qualified clients on your firm’s retainer. Picture a motor vehicle accident (MVA) call late on a Sunday night. Our agent answers, confirms where the crash happened and what treatment the caller received, and walks the caller through your retainer. If the caller qualifies, your team starts Monday with a signed file instead of a voicemail. Compare that with a front desk that closes at 6 p.m. See how our intake team for attorneys handles calls.

Signed Cases Fed Back Into Smart Bidding

A signed retainer is the conversion that matters, so we send it back into your Google Ads account through conversion imports. A campaign that counts only calls will bid for more callers. When signed cases flow back into the account, Smart Bidding, Google’s automated bidding, gets a better signal about which searches are worth the money. The import has a deadline. Google stops accepting an offline conversion 90 days after the click that produced it, and enhanced conversions for leads cut that window to 63 days. Our breakdown of signed MVA cases versus clicks shows why the signed-case signal matters. We also handle AI Max setup for firms ready to test Google’s newer search features.

Around-the-Clock Support When an Ad Breaks

Ads tend to break at bad times. A disapproval or a billing error can shut off a campaign on a Saturday night, and a broken tracking tag can stop conversions from recording. Our 24/7 ad support ticket system routes those problems to our in-house team, so a weekend issue gets attention before Monday. That system exists for true IT and marketing emergencies like these.

What Law Firms Are Not a Fit

Legal Leads Group is a “go big or go home” agency for running personal injury attorney Google Ads campaigns. We believe Google Ads, especially for motor vehicle accident campaigns, does not scale down in a straight line. For example, say $2,000 a day in spend, or $60,000 a month, delivers the potential for 12 cases at a cost per acquisition of $5,000 per case. A $30,000 month at $1,000 per day does not mean you will get 6 cases. Google Ads does not work that way. And that’s the beginning of the problem.

Google Ads, primarily search ads, is hands down the best way to land high-quality car accident leads. For personal injury lawyers looking to land more case leads, and more importantly, to convert them into signed MVA retainers, Google wins every time in our book. But the law firm has to be willing to pay to play. Google is very clear with regard to Target ROAS, Google Quality Score, Google Optimization Score, and historical conversion values. If you cannot afford the cost per click, do not jump into the game.

Google’s own help pages support the budget point. Target ROAS, the bid strategy built around return on ad spend, needs at least 15 conversions in the past 30 days before Search campaigns can use it. Calls and form fills you track as conversions count toward that minimum, along with signed cases. You also have to assign values to the conversions you track, which for an injury firm means estimating what a case is worth. Google’s Target ROAS help page adds that performance generally improves when you run fewer, larger campaigns that get more conversions. A campaign with half the budget gets fewer conversions to learn from, so its bids get less precise about which searches lead to signed cases.

A smaller budget also costs you visibility. Google’s help center warns that a limited budget can mean fewer clicks and impressions than a campaign would otherwise earn. The crash searches you miss go to whoever is still bidding. The impression share report measures how often your ads appeared compared with how often they were eligible. Google describes it as a way to see whether more budget or higher bids would reach more people.

Some costs barely shrink with the budget. Landing pages, tracking setup, and round-the-clock intake coverage cost about the same at $30,000 a month as at $60,000. That is why we believe a half-size budget usually raises the cost of each signed case instead of holding it steady. The figures above are an illustration, not a quote. Actual costs vary with your market, the cases you accept, and how quickly your intake team responds.

For personal injury law firms that are not ready to dive into the deep end of the pool, do not even stick your toes in the water. It won’t work, and you will get frustrated and lose more money than you can imagine. So, if you’re not an experienced personal injury law firm with a budget you can play with, LLG isn’t the right fit for you.

Alternatives to Google Ads for Personal Injury Lawyers

Alternatives to Google Ads for Personal Injury Lawyers

Injury firms advertise far beyond Google. The American Tort Reform Association (ATRA), an advocacy group for civil justice reform, tracks lawyer advertising nationwide. Its report on 2020 through 2024 uses 2017 as a comparison year. The report estimates that legal services advertisers spent more than $2.5 billion on more than 26.9 million ads in 2024. ATRA says rising costs cut the number of digital ads for legal services by more than half between 2020 and 2024. Spending on those digital ads still rose 84%.

If the last section described your firm, our Google Ads program is not your starting point, but you still have options. A firm without the budget for an MVA search program can build case flow with the channels below. A firm with that budget can use them to reach people before and after they search. A two-attorney injury firm in a midsize market might start with SEO on its car accident pages and a modest lead source. Once the site draws steady traffic, it can add Meta retargeting. That firm is ready for a full Google Ads program when its intake can handle the volume and its budget can cover the spend. Each alternative below has a strength and a gap.

Meta Ads

Meta Ads can reach people on Facebook and Instagram before they ever search for a lawyer. Someone rear-ended on a Tuesday rarely opens Instagram to find an attorney. They might still see your firm’s video on Thursday and search your name on Friday. Legal services are not among Meta’s special ad categories, so injury firms avoid the targeting limits that housing, employment, and financial advertisers face. Meta’s other ad and lead form rules still apply.

Meta works best as a partner to search, which is exactly why we love blended campaigns. We walk through the full setup in our guide to combining Meta Ads and Google Ads for MVA leads. For an injury firm, retargeting and lead forms matter most.

Retargeting Visitors Who Came From a Google Ad

Retargeting lets your firm reach people who visited your site and left without calling. Meta’s website custom audiences can include a visitor for months after the visit. So the person who read your car accident page after a Google click can see your firm again a week later. That second touch matters because an injured person may take days to decide on a lawyer.

Meta Lead Forms and Speed to Intake

Meta lead forms let people send their contact details without leaving Facebook or Instagram. That convenience has a cost. A form fill is a lighter commitment than a phone call, so it needs a fast callback while the crash is still on the person’s mind. Custom questions help here because the form can ask for the accident date and the city where it happened before intake ever calls. Meta’s advertising standards bar lead form questions about health or insurance information without Meta’s prior permission. Save questions about treatment and coverage for the intake call. Without quick follow-up, those forms turn into a list of names nobody reaches.

Martindale-Hubbell and Direct Leads

Lawyers know Martindale-Hubbell for its attorney directory and peer review ratings. The Martindale-Avvo network it belongs to now sells leads directly to law firms. Its LeadDirect program advertises exclusive, pre-vetted personal injury leads at a fixed cost per lead, with no upfront payment and no long-term contract. Martindale-Avvo says firms report signing about one client for every five leads they receive. Its LeadVolume program sells pay-per-lead inquiries in more than 55 practice areas, and firms can stop and start at any time. LLG counts Martindale-Hubbell among its partners. Buying leads can make sense for a firm that wants case flow without running its own ad account.

Google also sells pay-per-lead placements. Local Services Ads charge for leads such as calls and messages rather than clicks, and Google warns that regularly missing those calls or messages can hurt your ad ranking. You pick the services and areas you cover, and Google shows the ad when people in those areas search for those services. That model can suit a firm that is not ready to fund a full search program. Google has started moving Local Services Ads into Performance Max campaigns with pay-per-lead goals. The rollout runs in phases through 2027, and the campaigns still charge per lead.

Direct leads from any vendor come with trade-offs. You pay for each lead whether or not it signs. You also do not control the ad that produced it, and you build no account history of your own. Before you buy from Martindale-Avvo or anyone else, get clear answers to four questions.

  • Will the vendor sell each lead to your firm alone, or to several firms at once?
  • How does the vendor confirm the accident, the injury, and the caller’s contact details before delivery?
  • What credit do you get for a duplicate, a wrong number, or a caller who never had a case?
  • Can you see where each lead came from, down to the ad or the website?

Our pay-per-case plan charges for the qualified cases we deliver instead of raw leads. We compare vendor pricing in our post on the true cost of buying MVA leads.

Television and Radio

Television and radio still carry a large share of injury advertising. ATRA estimates that legal TV ad counts peaked in 2023 at more than 16.4 million spots. Legal radio ads reached more than 6.8 million in 2024, up from 1.8 million in 2017. Both channels build the name recognition that sends people to search for your firm later. Both also need months of repetition and a budget to match. At LLG, our traditional advertising executives plan TV and radio with the paid search team.

Local Spot TV and Streaming Ads for Injury Firms

A viewer might see your commercial a dozen times before a crash makes it relevant. Production, airtime, and repeat airings get expensive quickly, so testing local spot TV in one market first limits the risk. Connected TV advertising, which runs on smart TVs and streaming apps, reaches viewers who have dropped cable and allows tighter targeting. We cover production, channels, and cost in our page on TV commercials for personal injury attorneys.

Drive-Time Radio for Car Accident Firms

Radio reaches people while they drive, which suits a car accident message. Audio spots cost less to produce than TV spots, and drive-time slots let you repeat a firm name or phone number until listeners remember it. Measuring the results takes more work because a listener often acts hours after the ad plays. A dedicated tracking number and a rise in branded searches are how you judge the spend.

Billboards

Billboards depend on placement. ATRA estimates that legal spending on out-of-home ads such as billboards has grown more than 260% since 2017. A board along a busy freeway interchange puts your firm’s name in front of the same commuters every day. Drivers read a board in seconds, so keep it to the firm name, the case type, and one phone number. Billboards cannot take a call or capture a form, though. They work when your search campaigns and intake team are ready for the branded searches and calls they prompt. We explain that handoff in our post on how traditional marketing lifts Google Ads conversions on car accident campaigns.

Organic SEO for Personal Injury Law Firms

Organic SEO is the slowest alternative, and it can become the most valuable one over time. A ranking you earn does not bill you per click, and a strong practice area page can produce calls for years. SEO and Google Ads also support each other. Google rates landing page experience as part of ad quality.

Organic rankings do not lower your cost per click directly, but the work behind them improves the pages your ads point to. Our team handles SEO for personal injury attorneys alongside paid search for that reason.

How Long Injury SEO Takes to Produce Cases

Google’s SEO Starter Guide says some changes take effect within hours, while others can take several months. LawRank’s PPC page makes a similar point. It says an organic campaign can take months to generate leads. A firm that wants signed cases this quarter should treat SEO as a long-term investment. Fund something faster alongside it while the rankings build.

What AI Overviews Mean for Organic Clicks

AI summaries now answer many searches before anyone clicks. Pew Research Center studied 68,879 Google searches from March 2025. When an AI summary appeared, users clicked through to a regular search result in only 8% of visits. Without one, that rate was 15%. Longer, question-style searches produced summaries more often. Those were general searches rather than legal ones. Even so, injury firms should expect informational pages to earn fewer clicks and should answer common client questions directly on those pages. Paid ads can still appear in those answers. Google’s help center says existing Search campaigns are automatically eligible to show in AI Overviews and AI Mode for English searches in the U.S. and select other markets. Exact and phrase match keywords show there only when the search expresses clear commercial intent.

Let Legal Leads Group Monetize Your Personal Injury Attorney Google Ads Campaigns Today

Let Legal Leads Group Monetize Your Personal Injury Attorney Google Ads Campaigns Today

Every agency on this list can run ads. The real question is which Google Ads agency for personal injury attorneys will turn those ads into signed retainers. At Legal Leads Group, we build the campaign. Firms that add our live intake team also get agents who answer calls day and night and sign qualified clients on the firm’s retainer. Then we send those signed cases back into Google Ads to sharpen the bidding.

We work best with experienced injury firms that are ready to fund a serious MVA program. If that sounds like your firm, we will review your current account, your case criteria, and your intake hours. Then we will show you what a full build looks like. If your market needs more budget than you planned, we will say so up front. Every market and case mix is different, so no two firms see the same signed-case numbers.

Bring your last three months of Google Ads data if you have it. We will show you where the spend went and how much of it you can trace to signed cases.
